A living beneficiary or an authorized representative can deal directly with the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Contractor (MSPRC). If the beneficiary calls the Call Center (see MSPRC contact information), the beneficiary will be required to provide personal information to authenticate the call. Unfortunately, if the beneficiary is incapacitated and unable to personally answer the questions, another person cannot provide the information, even if the beneficiary is present on the call.

Legal Representative

If beneficiary is to be represented by a another individual (e.g., next of kin) or an legal firm, that individual or firm must have a valid authorization on file with the MSPRC.
